How do you know if you are in a bad relationship? It has been three months since your last conversation with your significant other, but you feel that it is normal to continue this relationship. You may feel that you are causing tremendous problems for both of you so you continue to stay to see if it works out. In this situation, you should leave or find a way to get out before it gets worse. The first step of leaving means admitting there is something wrong between you and your significant other. Pinpoint aspects of the relationship in order for both of you to see what is wrong in the relationship. You must tell the other person how you feel until they understand that you deserve better or want more from life. Allow yourself time to adjust to these new feelings you have discovered and move into the phase of letting go. Leave the conversation where it stands - do not take it any further. Allow yourself the right to walk away from the person who has hurt you. Some people tend to hold a grudge or abrupt emotions towards their former girlfriends or exes. Pack your bags and walk out of the door. You can not stay in the same place within the same space of someone who has hurt you in the relationship. As you walk away, remember that it is okay to move on or find a new direction in life. Take care of yourself even if you depended on the other person during your bad relationship. You may have a sense of dependency and want to go back - do not give in to this temptation. If you have experienced trauma, why should you allow that person power over you?

This guide of the art of practical relationships delineates how people can identify and choose practical relationships, which are those relationships that serve a usual purpose in some realistic and productive way. Some examples of these practical relationships are occupational, parental/offspring, sexual, and social.Identifying and engaging in practical relationships is an art. This requires looking at relationships as having a function as opposed to merely being described as an emotional bond or familiarity. Practical relationships, then, have an intellectual aspect to them. Those who favor practical relationships are most likely those who are no-nonense and have their feet planted firmly on the ground; their keen sense of realism reflects a preference for and value in pragmatic situations. One example would be those who seek to build and expand reference lists of people in their occupational field. Relationships such as these not only provide a person an opportunity to get her or his name into circulation, but also form connections that may open prodfessional doors for that person. The purpose of this kind of practical relationship is to make a person stronger as a professional, which in turn leads to further success, so the relationship, as well as developing that relationship, is of utmost importance and requires a careful approach. Another way finding and developing the practical relationship is considered an art is in the aforementioned parent/offspring. Being able to teach and influence children to be effective contributors in society not only develops teaching skills, but also patience, which, as everyone knows, is a virtue. Learning practical skills from a relationship makes that relationship, in fact, practical. The art of practical relationships is a very valuable talent to apply in real-world contexts, so that focus and worthwhile uses serve to improve the productivity of life. This art, in essence, is a practical art.

Determining relationship compatibility by the personality analysis and comparison does seem like the most natural or romantic way of bringing two people together, but astrology has its devoted fans and supports who believe in its powers. The idea of determining relationships through astrology isn't a new one. As a matter of fact, such beliefs and practices go back centuries and throughout the world. The basic premise of the association between relationships and astrology says that compatibility has to do with the astrological signs of those being compared. Each sign of the horoscope denotes a particular kind of personality. Some personalities work together in intimate relationships, some don't. Finding the ideal mate is ascertained by looking under the signs representing the personalities that are drawn to one's own. The central concept around which the association between astrology and relationships revolves is called Synastry. Synastry compares the horoscopes of two particular people and analyses how likely they would engage one another in an intimate relationship. This analysis is based on four personality dimensions: sexuality (physical / sensual), emotions (feelings), mentality (intellectual / beliefs / thinking), and spirituality (soul). This surface-level comparison of personality traits, however, isn't the end of it; the assessment goes even deeper. Overall compatibility between two people is more specifically determined by how well they communicate, their ability and manner of sharing personal interests and beliefs, the way they gear up to the other in an emotional capacity, and the intensity of the physical and / or sexual attraction between (passion). Finding and qualifying relationships through astrology isn't for everybody; each person is different and must go her or his own way. For those who believe, however, relationships determined through astrology are, simply, "written in the stars" and considered a matter of fate pre-ordained by supernatural, other-worldly forces that have been in play for millennia. In this school of thought, synastric relationships are meant for everyone.
